The Model 5000 (A.R.O.S) Observatory, exclusively designed by Garry J. Boyd.  The Model 5000CT is intended for the discerning Astronomer determined to perform CCD imaging at remote locations.  This Model is trailer mounted allowing you to trailer your equipment intact and firmly secured to the trailer floor, to your desired location.  Upon arrival simply retract the four jack stands under the trailer, pop the hatch and your ready for a beautiful observing night.  The unit opens with two gas springs (Like a car hood) for ease of polar alignment and two star initialization of your automated telescope.  Equipment changes are easily performed using the simple lift top and dome ( gas assisted).  CCD filter changes or equipment modifications are done quickly and easily and the complete unit is completely water tight.  This unit is a complete new concept in remote CCD imaging Astronomy.  RS 232 serial ports providing  communication to your computer, up to 30 feet in distance, are standard from your lap top to our Cyber DriveTM control port.  This enhanced feature allows you complete heated and comfortable viewing from your Vehicle.  Cyber DriveTM, is powered from your cigarette lighter, or your isolated 12V DC system (not included).

Trailer Specifications: The gas welded framed trailer includes, 1 1/2 X 3 box channel steel, primed and painted black with 500lb torsion type axle independent suspension system.  Two four ply 13inch wheels are standard along with white modern rims and fenders.  Each trailer includes complete lighting system, trailer hook up pig tail, License Frame, 2 inch ball receiver and Department of Motor Vehicles Title.  Dimensions: Width 101.5in X Length 93 in, Tongue removable for shipping.  Total Weight 525 pounds.  This unit is shipped via Consolidated Freightways and must be picked up at the Terminals.  Wheels must be bolted on at the Terminal and skid removed from bottom.  Commercial delivery's only with Dock Plate, and High Low.  Sorry no residential deliveries.
